"About a year ago I was living in Okinawa, Japan. My employee was Dodea on a U.S. military base and I was a computer assistant for one of the schools on base for American children.

One of the bases has a thrift shop and they had decided at the time to update their inventory and sales system. Somehow they got in touch with me (word of mouth says I am pretty good with technology and creativity) and ask me if I was interested in bidding a POS system. Being interested I searched some products that I had thought would meet my concept of POS.

I studied the thrift shop personnel and I concluded that their system needed to be very simple to use, open to expansion and with a low learning process so that novice computer operators could easily approach it.

The main concern I had was to use an operating system and a software that needed very low maintenance being that people come and go in that environment. As far as software, I opted for one that could be operated on multi platforms and FileMaker based programs seemed to be the only way to go.

As far as hardware I opted for Macintosh computers because I have worked with them before and I believe that it is a very stable and easy to use operating system. The setup had 3 computers, a server and two pos. The server is a Macintosh G3 and the POS are Imacs.

Paul came into the picture as soon as I started looking for POS software and I have got to say his support has been great ever since considering the cost of his software, the time spent upgrading the software for my needs and all the questions I have asked him. It has been easy for me to work with his software and follow his directions while I was on the other side of the world!!

Both me and the thrift shop have been very happy with the way the program is setup and how the different departments are separated and easy to understand.

I definitely would consider collaborating with Paul."
